Ruth Thompson (L) of the Plymouth Community Centre and Recreation Association accepting a donation from Donna MacDonald (R) on behalf of the Pictou Mutual Community Foundation in support the renovations and updates the Community Centre required.The Community Centre was the former school house for the area from 1919 – 1974 when it was decommissioned as a school due to elementary school consolidation. In 1977, a group of community minded volunteers formed the Plymouth Community Recreation Association.
